Dave Hughes, Republican Candidate for Congress, Attends MN Ag Expo in Mankato
For Immediate Release – (Karlstad, MN) Dave Hughes, the 2016 Republican candidate for Congress in MN-7, who last November narrowly lost to 26-year incumbent Democrat Collin Peterson, attended the MN Ag Expo in Mankato January 25-26, 2017. Hughes is running now for 2018, using these 2 years to campaign, raise money, meet voters, and learn more about Agriculture.
“I love meeting with the farmers, and learning about their economic situations, trade problems, and concerns about government over-regulation. Obamacare continues to be the number one problem I’m hearing about – it’s killing the farming families of western Minnesota! Instead of leading, and immediately introducing substantive reform of ACA like he said he would during our debates last fall, Collin Peterson is focusing his energy on such non-priorities as Gray Wolf management. He voted recently yet again against repealing Obamacare. Collin just doesn’t get it; he’s totally out of step with Minnesotans. Obamacare is an unmitigated public policy failure and must be totally repealed immediately!” – Dave Hughes
Hughes continues to fill his schedule with seed meetings, farm insurance information meetings, small grain, poultry, dairy, pork, potato, sugar beet, alternative Ag product use meetings and more. Where the farmers are, Dave Hughes will be. Hughes hopes for a victory in 2018, and a seat on the U.S. House of Representatives Agriculture Committee, where he will truly listen to the farmers of western Minnesota and strive for their interests.
