Dave Hughes to travel to Stevens County
September 23, 2018 -- I am really excited for Monday to come! I have a full day planned in Stevens County, and it was all planned by a farmer. See, my support is with the people of western Minnesota; the small business owners, the farmers, the hardworking families trying to make ends meet. These are the people that brought me within 5 points of beating Collin Peterson in 2016, these are the people that are working for my 2018 victory, and these are the people I will serve in Washington, DC. I am working with my western Minnesota neighbors to make a change in the 7th District.
I will be meeting the good folks at Superior Industries, a material handling manufacturer. Then I will meet with Denco II, the local ethanol plant. Then off to lunch with Stevens County farmers to talk some crop insurance and issues pressing the agriculture community. I will then tour Riverview Dairy, and then St. Francis Healthcare Systems. I will be ending the day at a large Meet N Greet fundraiser everyone is invited! It will be at the Morris American Legion at 6:00pm. I believe we will have a great turn out! The University of Minnesota – Morris College Republicans are coming as are delegations from surrounding counties. I look forward to sharing who I am, my legislative priorities, and how my Constitutional Conservative legislation will bring your family more prosperity, security and integrity. Amongst appointments I will meet with Taylor Barker the News Director at KMRS radio out of Morris, to share with the rest of Stevens County that I am actively working for their vote and am actively working to hear their concerns.
I am energized for this last 14 months until election day 2018! I am humbled and thankful for these people that are principled businessmen and women, who are sick with the stagnation of our representation in DC, and work these meeting details out with key industries that I am very interested in learning more about. Support from the every day Joe and Jane is increasing as I meet with people throughout the district. I also have been meeting with top business owners and legislators. My principled vision resonates with the people of Western Minnesota. And I enjoy learning more about what regulations are stifling industry and growth, because it pushes me through the long days and focuses me on what needs to be done. When government interferes in free market capitalism, it is always bad. I am thankful for the growing agricultural community support, and other business support. I am truly thankful for the effort put into bringing hundreds of people together to talk policy and the support for my Congressional campaign. This will be awesome!
